About
Charles Njenga is a full stack engineer in Nairobi building web apps and AI features.
I'm a full stack engineer based in Nairobi. Over the last six years I've shipped more than 50 projects across the frontend and backend, in React, Vue, TypeScript, Go, Node.js and Laravel.
Right now I'm at Orbiter (opens in a new tab), where I built the web app from its first commit and the AI features inside it: an agent in Go with daily spend caps and evals, a conversational contact interview, and voice. I work AI-first, pairing with Claude Code.
Before that I built Nuxt interfaces for a platform with more than 10 million users at Inisev (opens in a new tab), identity verification apps at Identigate (opens in a new tab), and a food hygiene platform at SOOP (opens in a new tab). I also help grow the community around VamosWatu (opens in a new tab).
I care about short release cycles, code backed by tests, and teams that work well across time zones. I studied Information Technology at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
